Progress in the Chinese RES project

In the Chinese MOST project, two field tests of RES equipment have now been completed.

The first tests were completed on new cars at the Hyundai manufacturing plant, specifically two cars complying with the China 6 emission standard operating on gasoline and natural gas, respectively, and one car complying with the China 5 standard operating on gasoline. In the second test, carried out in the city of Langfang in the Hebei province near Beijing, used cars complying with the China 3 standard were tested. Measurements were carried out for different speeds and driving conditions (constant speed and acceleration) and with the cars in both normal and tampered (by removal of the three-way catalyst) conditions.

There will be additional tests at the Toyota manufacturing plant this summer, including hybrid cars.
