CARES at the Transport Research Arena 2022 Conference

CARES partners will be presenting at the Transport Research Arena 2022 Conference in Lisbon. The conference runs from 14 – 17 November 2022.
Åke Sjödin, from IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute, will give a general overview of the CARES project at Invited session 40: Reduction of transport impact on air quality, taking place on Tuesday, 15 November, between 8:30 and 10:00 am. The session, which discusses new tools and methods that can be used to reduce transport emissions, will also include presentations from H2020 sister projects, MODALES, SCIPPER and AVIATOR. Christina Schmidt, from University of Heidelberg, will give a “poster pitch” presentation on NOx emission measurements of vehicles during the Scientific Session on Sustainable Interurban and Urban Mobility, taking place on Tuesday, 15 November, from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. The poster presentation is entitled “Towards Better Air Quality Using the Plume Chasing Method: Validation Studies of Real Driving NOx Emission Measurements of Vehicles”.
On Thursday, November 17, Denis Pöhler, from Airyx GmbH, will give a podium presentation at the Scientific Session on the Internalisation of Transport Externalities taking place between 8:30 and 10:00 am. The presentation, “Identification of Manipulated & Defective Truck NOx Emission Reduction Systems with Plume Chasing for Authority Inspections”.
